About the Unit


YARA Environmental Technologies takes Yara’s mission to “protect the planet” seriously. Our systems clean the air and protect the planet through the delivery of NOx abatement systems for a wide range of power plants and stationary industrial processes. We develop and supply equipment for cleaning exhaust gases from industrial plants and support Yara in implementing decarbonization, efficiency enhancement and optimization projects. The YARA Environmental Technologies unit has the stability and security that comes from being part of a major international corporation, while offering opportunities to experience a variety of plant engineering tasks in an agile team.


This "Stationary" unit within Yara Industrial Solutions global function employs around 100 people in Austria, China/Taiwan, Germany, India and Poland.

The role


YARA Environmental Technologies is now recruiting an experienced and motivated “Project Engineer (f/m/d)” to enhance our team. The role is made for a great communicator, someone able and eager to build good connections with customers, contractors and colleagues alike. Responsibilities


  • Technical management of all disciplines in a project (drafting, process, mechanical, E&IC)
  • Product support from planning to commissioning
  • Coordination of technical tasks within the disciplines (including contractors and customers)
  • Execution of customer contracts considering time and cost together with project manager
  • Technical contract review, lead negotiations, review/preparation of documentation
  • Preparation/review of drawings (layout, mechanical equipment, etc.) and technical specifications of equipment, bulk items (such as steel, piping, etc.)
  • Technical clarifications and interfaces with client
  • Participation in installation supervision and commissioning, after-sales service and troubleshooting

Profile


  • Completed technical apprenticeship or technical education (HTL/FH/Uni)
  • Professional experience in a comparable position and subject matter expertise in mechanical engineering (preferably within industrial plant engineering, power plants or environmental plants)
  • Experience in equipment design and preparation of corresponding specifications (rotating equipment, piping, vessels, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset
  • Familiar with international design codes, i.e., machine directive, relevant EN and ASME codes
  • Good knowledge of Office applications & ACAD, preferably experienced in Inventor
  • Professional written and spoken English is required, plus knowledge of German is preferable

Additional Information


Your office base will be Vienna in Austria. Depending on qualifications and experience, we are willing to significantly compensate over and above the valid collective agreement.
