As an automotive supplier, DENSO is leading in developing and providing components and systems for heating, air conditioning, motor cooling, powertrain, exhaust gas aftertreatment, automotive electrics and electronics and instrumentation.
As a working student/ intern (m/f/d) you will contribute to our Electrification team at our location in Wegberg near Mönchengladbach for a minimum duration of 6 months.
In electrified vehicles the efficiency of every component inside the electric powertrain determines performance and range of the vehicle.
One of the core component, the traction inverter, consists of power semiconductors, which are recently more and more changing towards wide bandgap technology.
In order to characterize those power semiconductors, a high voltage test bench is available to determine the switching behavior.
Your task will be to support the Electrification team by preparing and performing the tests, analyzing and documenting the results as well as presenting them to the team.
You will contribute to optimize the measurement setup and support the automation of the test bench in order to reduce operator time effort and achieve efficient analysis of the acquired data.
- You study in an engineering-related program (e.g. electrical engineering) and have interest in the automotive industry.
- You are a team player that likes to take on tasks and responsibilities proactively.
- You have fluent skills in written and spoken German and English to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are able to work with Microsoft Office applications to edit documents, handle test data and create presentations.
- You have a driver‘s license (Class B or equivalent)
- Experience in working with Matlab
- Fundamental knowledge of power electronics
- Experience with dSpace ControlDesk advantageous
- Experience with analyzing data advantageous
- Experience with measurement equipment advantageous
